He Solidarity Income The beneficiaries selected by SISBÉN IV were paid through the Department of Social Prosperity, who in May 2022 announced a different way in the payment schedule, which established an increase in the subsidy, which would be paid bimonthly. However, this year, following the arrival of the new government led by Gustavo Petro, new changes were made in its implementation.
The director of Social Prosperity, Cielo Rusinque, confirmed that the Solidarity Income program will not continue in 2023: “The subsidy had been given within the framework of the pandemic to mitigate its effects, that there were limited resources that we did not have and that the previous government had left it available until December 31, that is the only transfer that ends.”
However, the other social programs such as Familias en Acción or Jóvenes en Acción will continue as normal. For now, from Social Prosperity they hope to reorganize the programs that will remain in force, establish a budget and forms of access by people who need it.
