Mini-series in 8 episodes, His real face is not taken from a true story but adapted from a bestselling novel written by Karin Slaughter and published by HarperCollins in France.
Originally scheduled for filming in 2020 in the Canadian province of British Columbia, His True Face was finally shot in Sydney, Australia in 2021. Director Minkie Spiro boxed all eight episodes that make up the Netflix series. Minkie Spiro was notably known for having directed three of the six episodes of the series The Plot Against America. We also owe him a few episodes of Downton Abbey but also of Better Call Saul or Barry. Here she films Toni Collette, star of Sixth Sense, Heredity or Knives Out, in her return to television following Chrysalis in 2020.
