Is Iran attack imminent? GPS disrupted in Israel

Not only areas near the border with Lebanon are affected, but also densely populated regions in the center of the country, reported the newspaper “Times of Israel” and the news portal Ynet, citing users.

The positioning system also helps drones find their target. Israel is on high alert after Iran threatened retaliation for the targeted killing of Hamas foreign chief Ismail Haniyeh. Israel has not yet officially commented on the allegations.

Media reported that drivers in Israel suddenly saw a message on their screens saying they were in the Lebanese capital Beirut. Even before the major Iranian attack with hundreds of rockets and drones in April, the Israeli army had announced that it had deliberately disrupted the satellite-based positioning system. In response to a query about the latest GPS disruption, the army replied: “No comment.”

Another indication of a possible imminent attack by Iran and allied militias in other countries in the region was the arrival of the commander-in-chief of the US regional command Centcom, General Michael Erik Kurilla, in Israel. This was reported by the US news portal “Axios”. Kurilla had also traveled to Israel shortly before the major Iranian attack in April.
