Kristof Calvo, the flamboyant green MP, bid farewell to national politics. He wants, like several other elected members of his party, to concentrate on a local career, he who, for years, has been a pioneer in Mechelen of the Stadslijst (a joint list between liberals, ecologists and independents). He also wants to take the time to reflect, to write a new book on politics, entitled: State of Trust (state of trust). In his farewell letter, Calvo concludes that it is “necessary nowadays to think, write, speak, meet and work together. A new ‘black Sunday’ is coming, this time black as shoe polish”.
