Apple discontinued the 27-inch iMac when it launched the Mac Studio and the 5K Studio Display.
According to a report from 9to5mac, the company is not planning to release an all-in-one iMac larger than 24 inches soon.
The report indicates that Apple is not planning a larger device with the M1 Pro, M1 Max or M1 Ultra processor either. We also likely won’t see an iMac with the M2-powered MacBook that the company is expected to release later this year.
The 24-inch iMac with the M1 processor released last year is the only iMac that can be obtained directly from the company’s website.
The tech giant is developing a 24-inch device, which is scheduled for release in 2023. But the device will likely remain one of the company’s relatively affordable options.
At the moment, sources indicate that Apple is focusing on promoting Mac Studio and Mac Pro to its professional users.
The company may launch new Macs with its processors in June, with more Macs coming by the end of the year.
