Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk announced on her Facebook page that Ukraine is ready to help Russians living in Kursk Oblast, PIK writes.

“In connection with the possible deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the adjacent territories of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, Ukraine must be ready to receive Russian refugees written by Iryna Vereshchuk.

According to her, the Ministry of Reintegration has introduced a 24-hour hotline for residents of the Kursk region who need humanitarian aid or want to evacuate to Ukraine. Vereshchuk wrote this information in Russian so that Russians could understand it.

“Ukraine complies with all norms of international humanitarian law. We will provide the necessary protection and humanitarian support to the peaceful residents of Kurshchyna,” – added the deputy prime minister.

Vereshchuk also noted that the Ministry of Reintegration, together with the military, is developing a possible route of a humanitarian corridor for civilians from Kurshchyna to Sumy.

“Regarding the humanitarian corridor towards the Russian Federation: such a possibility exists, but on the condition of a corresponding official request from the Russian side. So far, such a request has not been received”, – she wrote.
