IRS Streamlines Tax Filing Process with Digital Submission and Document Digitization by 2025

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced Wednesday that it will allow taxpayers to submit their documents online and forms as of the 2024 tax seasonand also advanced that it will digitize its declaration file by 2025, promising that with these improvements they will expedite returns by up to four weeks for those who submit their data online.

These measures are part of a reform of the IRS to streamline its procedures and increase tax collection, for which it was assigned a budget of 60,000 million dollars over a decade in the Inflation Reduction Act, approved on last year with bipartisan support in Congress.
