IRS changes tax filing dates (+Details)

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will extend tax filing deadlines for those affected by Hurricane Beryl, which hit 67 Texas counties in July 2024.

The hurricane flooded roads, destroyed dozens of homes and left two million people without electricity for several hours. It also left six people dead.

The IRS explained to taxpayers that they will have time to file and pay their taxes if they live in the regions affected by the weather incidents.

Affected taxpayers and businesses will have until February 3, 2025 to file their returns and pay the taxes that fell due during that period.
