Australian scientists have found in a new study that people with an irregular schedule do not have a higher risk of developing dementia, unlike those who go to bed and wake up at the same time. As he writes portal “Ridlife.ru”the study involved more than 88 thousand people who were monitored for seven years.

Participants regularly wore devices that assessed sleep and wakefulness regularity. In the study, researchers found that participants in the irregular sleep group had a 53 percent higher risk of dementia than those who followed a regular sleep schedule.

Although the authors acknowledge that the results were adjusted to some extent for a number of factors that might influence the risk of developing dementia, it cannot be ruled out that unknown circumstances might also influence such risk.

Previously, Russians were told how to deal with chronic fatigue.
