Ironman Hawaii 2022: The distribution of the starting waves on the two days of competition is fixed

At the beginning of October 2022, following a three-year break due to corona, an Ironman Hawaii should finally take place once more on the Big Island. Due to the large number of qualified age group athletes, the Ironman World Championship will be extended to two race days for the first time in history. On Thursday, October 6, 2022, it will be the turn of all women (pros/age groups), all paratriathlon classes and some of the male age groupers. Two days later on Saturday, October 8, 2022, the pro men and the remaining male age groups will line up at the starting line at the Kailua-Kona Pier.

The first starting groups will be sent on both competition days at 6:25 a.m. on the 226 km long competition course. In detail, the start group assignment is as follows:
