iron throne, escape game, lego decorations…Visit of the immersive festival village

This is the big return of Series Mania in Lille! In addition to the screenings, festival-goers will be able to sit on the iron throne of the famous series “Game of Thrones”, or admire the outfits of “A nanny from hell” at the Tripostal in a free 100% immersive exhibition.

Attention, it is necessary to operate the heart, quickly! We must save our director, we are counting on you!“In a reconstituted operating room, visitors who have become medical interns try to save their patient, encouraged by a secret agent. On the operating table, it is in fact the famous board game Doctor Maboul.

At the end of the fifteen minutes of play, the participants have succeeded in all the riddles and delicate maneuvers to remove the objects from the body of doctor maboul. “Well done ! You played very well” announces the host / spy of this escape game, present in the village of the festival.

From March 18 to 25, the Tripostal hosts immersive events and exhibitions at the Village FestivaI. Virtual reality, photo with the car of “Mentalist” but also on the famous iron throne of “Game of thrones”. A key attraction of the village to which France does not escape, who came with her daughter. “Jwatched the series, I think it’s great to be able to take a picture on it“, rejoiced the young woman, “i feel like a queen for a day” she smiled.

Older series also have their place in the festival village. Head to the retrospective of the best outfits of Fran Fine, a colorful character from the series “A Nanny from Hell”. Her looks have marked the history of the small screen, Series Mania has therefore decided to pay tribute to her, to the delight of Pauline, who came especially for this. “I’ve been a big fan since I was little, it reminds me of my childhood to see these outfits, it’s nice and moving”she says.

These are not the originals but outfits identical in all respects to those worn by the actress. The immersion in Fran’s dressing room teleports the visitor to the 1990s to remind him of kitsch, which has become fashionable once more!

The village also allows you to rediscover sets from series in an original way. “The objective is to represent the past, present and future series“, confides Bernard Fériot, president of the association Briques en Nord. With the association FreeLug, they have reconstructed emblematic sets of series in Lego. There is something for everyone, a giant pixel Casa de Papel, a Squid Games mosaic but also the mine headframe of the France Télévisions Germinal series.

Fifteen decorations are exhibited. More than 100,000 bricks and 500 hours of work were needed to complete all the works. “It is very impressive“, believes Mary, “it makes you want to get back to lego, even at thirty !” she adds.

And for even more immersion, make way for virtual reality. Another dimension, where one is both protagonist and spectator. A way to approach the series differently, that of tomorrow?
