Irfan Khan’s sense of humor was anger: Saba Qamar

‘Irfan Khan did not prepare much for his scenes, when I was doing ‘Hindi Medium‘, whatever magic was seen on the cinema screen, it happened right there.’

This is to say that Pakistani actress Saba Qamar, for whom the initial days of shooting for the Bollywood film ‘Hindi Medium’ were not easy because co-star Irfan Khan’s style of acting was not the same as what Saba was used to.

It has been two years today since the great Indian actor Irfan Khan, who worked in many Bollywood and Hollywood films and won many acting awards, left the world.

He is still remembered by his fans and co-stars. Saba Qamar is also one of those fans and co-stars, who acted as the heroine opposite Irrfan Khan in the 2017 Bollywood film ‘Hindi Medium’.

He said: ‘Initially I found it difficult to work with them, because that’s not how we work here. Be it TV or film, we rehearse our dialogues. So when Irfan worked with Khan, he said, ‘Saba Chalo, just do it.’

She said that she was a bit shocked as to how to do it, what would be the speed of delivering the dialogues, how would the voice fluctuate, what would the scene be like, what an actor thinks about his work.

‘For three days I didn’t understand, then I realized that I had never seen this acting school, so it was a very interesting and fun experience.’

He said that the two months he spent in Delhi with Irrfan Khan while making the film are his most beautiful memories. ‘Irfan was the same, no one can replace him.’

He said that he got to learn a lot from Irrfan Khan, and it was an honor to work with him.

According to Saba Qamar, Irrfan Khan’s departure from this world is a great loss for the film industry and it is difficult to recover.
