Tehran: The anti-hijab protest in Iran, which has spread to countries around the world, has entered its 10th day. The Hindustan Times reported that more than 41 people died in Iran during the protests. Women are at the forefront of the struggle. Women were among those killed during the protest. Police have arrested 700 people so far as a part of suppressing the strike. This is the biggest strike since the fuel price protests of 2019. Protests continue to rage despite strict internet restrictions.

The video of the funeral ceremony of Jawad Hydari, who was killed during the protest, is widely circulated on social media. In the video, Jawad Hydari’s sister can be seen cutting her hair next to his dead body. She is still crying without listening to the comforting words of those around her.

A massive protest started in the country following the death of Mahsa Amini, a young woman who was detained by the police for not wearing a hijab in Iran. Later, the protest spread to the countries of the world. The police claimed that Mahsa Amini died due to a heart attack, but the family and social workers did not accept it. Mahsa’s family alleges that her daughter died due to police beating.

Police fired water cannons at hundreds of protesters who marched on the Iranian embassy in Paris. Those who tried to enter the Iranian Embassy in London by breaking the barricade clashed with the police.
