Iranian presidential election: No candidate could get the required majority, re-election will be held – World

In Iran’s presidential election, no candidate might receive 50 percent of the vote, prompting a rerun on July 5. In the second phase, Masoud Al-Mabzikian and Saeed Jalili will compete.

It should be remembered that early elections were held in Iran due to the accidental death of President Ibrahim Raisi. There was a competition between Saeed Jalili, Mohammad Baqir, Masoud Al-Badzikian and Mustafapour Mohammadi for the presidency of the country, but following not being able to get more than 50% of the votes, votes will be cast once more in the second phase of the presidential elections in Iran.

According to the Arab media, the Iranian Ministry of Interior says that no candidate has received a majority of 50 percent of the votes in the presidential election, due to which the presidential elections will be held once more on July 5. And the competition will be held in Saeed Jalili.
