The missiles launched by Iran towards Israel during Operation True Promise 2 were aimed at military and security bases “involved in the commission of the atrocities of the Zionist regime,” the Embassy of the Islamic Republic in Caracas reported.
On social media, the Iranian Embassy in Venezuela denied reports published in some media that the missiles hit civilian targets in Israel.
The diplomatic delegation also stressed that “justice has been done” after two months “of Iranian patience and in the absence of effective action” by the United Nations “to prevent the crimes of the Zionist regime.”
“The Iranian Armed Forces successfully implemented Operation True Promise 2 within the framework of the right to self-defense,” he said.
He added that, according to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, more than 90 percent of the missiles launched accurately hit military and security targets.
“The ‘Iron Dome’ system has become a plastic sieve,” they argued.
In this regard, they stressed the “surprise and amazement” of Israel, the United States and all the allies of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) “at the speed, precision, destructive power and amazing technology of the Iranian missiles, and their accuracy on strategic targets.”
In another post, members of Popular Groups in Tel Aviv can be seen firing on the streets of the city against the “incompetence and warmongering” of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who put his country “in the quagmire of war, economic bankruptcy and extermination.”
Earlier on Tuesday, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard launched more than 200 ballistic missiles at the cities of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, in response to the massacre that Israeli Zionism is carrying out against the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
The Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the UN stated, through its X account, that this military action constitutes a “legal, rational and legitimate response by Iran to the terrorist acts of the Zionist regime, which included attacks against Iranian citizens and interests and violations of the national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
