The embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Jakarta called the murder of the Head of the Hamas Political Office, Ismail Haniyeh, as another proof of the terrorist nature of the Israeli Zionist regime.
“The assassination of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh by the Zionist regime is another proof of the terrorist, aggressive, lawless and criminal nature of the occupying regime of Al-Quds,” said the Iranian Embassy in Jakarta in an official statement issued in Jakarta, Friday (2/8).
According to the Iranian government, Israel’s actions not only violate the principles and rules of international law and the UN Charter, but are also considered a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.
The Iranian Embassy said that the repeated violations of international law and the most heinous crimes against humanity committed by the Zionist regime show the desperation and helplessness of the regime in realizing its long-standing dream of occupying the region from the River to the Sea.
“Tel Aviv has pursued its evil intentions in various ways over the past 76 years, including attempts to commit genocide against the Palestinian people, attacks on Gaza and Lebanon, assassinations of prominent resistance figures and carrying out terrorist operations in other countries,” the Iranian embassy statement said.
Furthermore, the Iranian Embassy in Jakarta said that the international community had not taken effective action to stop all the heinous, anti-human rights acts and violations of international law that had been carried out by the regime that had usurped the Palestinian territory for the past seven decades.
The embassy also highlighted the support of the United States and several Western countries for Israel which actually leads to the continuation of the Zionist regime’s crimes, including violations of international rules and laws.
Iran called on all countries and international organizations to take political and legal measures to punish the fake and illegal Zionist regime of Israel. “The Islamic Republic of Iran, while strongly condemning the criminal act of the Zionist regime in the assassination of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh, considers an appropriate response to Israel’s aggressive actions against its sovereignty and territorial integrity as an inherent right,” it said.
