Iran plans tougher penalties for violence against women – Iran

Tehran – Iran wants to tighten penalties for violence once morest women. To this end, the parliament passed the main features of a corresponding draft law entitled “Preventing harm to women and improving their security once morest misconduct”, as reported by the Iranian state news agency Irna. The text might become law in the coming months, but it is still subject to change.
