Iran, Khamenei calls for Islamic countries to unite “to destroy Israel’s criminals” –

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has called on Muslim countries to cut their economic and political ties with Israel amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following Israel’s attacks on Lebanon. “The first step towards the unity of the Islamic world against this criminal and terrorist gang that rules Palestine and has usurped Palestinian territory is for Islamic countries to completely sever their economic relations with this criminal gang,” Khamenei said in a meeting with the Islamic Republic’s authorities, ambassadors of Muslim countries and guests of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, according to IRNA.

The Iranian Supreme Leader also called on Muslim countries to “reduce their political ties and strengthen media attacks” against Israel, given its “crimes” in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria and Lebanon. Khamenei took advantage of the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad to call on the Islamic community to “unite and use their inner strength to destroy” Israel. “This internal power can eliminate and eradicate this evil cancerous tumor from the heart of the Islamic community and destroy the influence, domination and coercive interference of the United States in this region,” he stressed. Ayatollah Khamenei also said that Israel is committing “shameless crimes” against children, not fighters.
