Iran’s ambassador to India Iraj Elahi said that Iran’s missile attack on Israel was to lead the Middle East to stability. In an exclusive interview with India Today, Elahi said Israel has understood the “language of force” and accused the Benjamin Netanyahu regime of ignoring human principles and morality by bombing the Gaza Strip in its war with Hamas.
“Iran’s missile attack destabilized the Middle East region. Iran’s intention was defensive,” Elahi said.
The ceasefire was violated
Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib told CNN that Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah had agreed to a 21-day ceasefire with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just days before he was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut last week.
Biden, Macron and other allies called for a temporary ceasefire after meeting at the UN General Assembly last month. The cease-fire call came after Hezbollah blamed Israel for a series of explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies used by the group in mid-September.
“We fully agreed. Lebanon agreed to the ceasefire, but only after consultation with Hezbollah. Speaker Nabih Berri informed the Americans and the French about what happened. Netanyahu also told us. The two (US and French) presidents (Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron) agreed in a statement issued,” Habib said.
