The tremors of the earthquake in southern Iran were also felt in the UAE. There was an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale. Officials said that although there was a 20-second tremor in cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, no damage was reported anywhere in the UAE.

The earthquake was reported at 7.17 pm UAE time on Wednesday. The authorities made it clear that there is no need to fear. People who were in tall buildings mostly felt slight tremors. Earthquakes in southern Iran have caused tremors in the UAE before.
