Iran announces dismantling of “terrorist” network linked to Mossad

Iranian authorities announced the dismantling of a network “terrorist” linked to the Israeli intelligence service, the Mashedwhich would have prepared attacks once morest “sensitive places” in Iran, the official Irna news agency reported on Saturday.

“Several members of a Mossad-linked terrorist espionage network have been detained,” the agency reported, citing a statement from the Iranian intelligence ministry that did not give details of their number or nationality.

He also stated that the suspects “they entered Iran through Kurdistan”in northern Iraq.

“They wanted to carry out unprecedented acts of sabotage and terrorist operations once morest sensitive areas and predetermined targets, using sophisticated operational equipment and the most powerful explosives,” the statement added, without giving more information regarding the targets.

Iran has already repeatedly announced the arrest of agents working for the intelligence services of foreign countries, including Israel.

The Islamic Republic has also accused Israel of sabotage some of its nuclear facilities and to assassinate several Iranian scientists.
