Iran and Rolex gift: Trump’s bizarre live

Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, arrived yesterday for a live interview with Edin Ross that was broadcast on the Kick platform. If you haven’t met Ross or Kik until now, that’s fine, there’s a good reason for that. 23-year-old Edin Ross is considered a controversial streamer on Kik, a platform that competes with Twitch and broadcasts live to most gamers.

Ross has already been involved in several different affairs, for example, he announced that he would interview Kim Jong Un, which turned out to be a poor double, in addition, he has already broadcast pornographic materials live, anti-Semitic curses and hosted hosts who pride themselves on the ideology of white supremacy, such as Nick Fuentes. He was eventually kicked off the Twitch platform – prompting him to switch to competitor Kik.

Yesterday the former president came to talk to Ross, and it seems that Ross was also surprised: “I didn’t think you would really come,” Ross said at the beginning of the broadcast. Already at the beginning of the 90 minutes of the live, you can understand how the bizarre connection between the creator of the content and the person who might be the leader of the free world in a few months was formed. Trump is trying to win the votes of the younger generation, or as we like to criticize them, Generation Z. Almost 600 thousand surfers connected to Ross’s live and it can be guessed that most of them are young. The president himself stated that Barron, Trump’s youngest son, told him about Ross and loves him.

The same interview was reviewed by all media outlets in Israel following Trump’s stressful sentence that “Iran will attack Israel tonight”, and those who know the former president know that sometimes he speaks lightly, despite his closeness to Netanyahu and the important role he had – he was obviously wrong.

The live with Trump may cause another scandal. At one point in the interview, Ross gave Trump a Rolex watch, in what could raise suspicions of bribery. Shortly after gifting him with the watch, Ross began talking about Fannie Willis, the Georgia district attorney who filed charges against Trump for alleged election meddling during the 2020 presidential election.

“I have a friend who is being unfairly treated right now by her (Fanny Willis). He’s a rapper named Young Thug,” Ross said during the live broadcast, referring to the racketeering case against the rapper. “I was just wondering if there was any way we could make sure he was treated fairly?”

Trump did not respond directly to Ross’s question, saying: “He needs to be treated fairly.” Some viewers wondered if Ross was trying to bribe Trump or if receiving such an expensive gift constituted some other violation.

The live broadcast continued as Ross presented Trump with a series of pictures of people, asking him to respond with just one word. Trump said “interesting” for Joe Rogan, “warrior” for Dana White and “weird” for Kanye West. When Ross showed Trump a picture of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who until now was considered one of the most progressive women in American politics and hated mostly by conservatives in the country, he said “fake”, but then reconsidered. Trump sounded like he had developed feelings for her, “There’s something about her,” he corrected himself. “She’s got a spark that’s pretty amazing. Actually, she’s got a good spark. So I’ll change that. I’ll say ‘sparkle’.”

At the end of the live, Ross presented Trump with another gift: a custom-designed Tesla Cybertruck featuring the now-famous photo of Trump after his assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

On that occasion, Trump imitated his well-known dance with Ross and promised that he would “keep Tiktok”, in what could be interpreted as a reversal of the bill passed in the US to boycott the Chinese network.

It is not clear if this bizarre interview with a very problematic personality could complicate Trump, after all he has already been accused in several cases and it seems that for now he is immune to everything, even live bullets.
