Asunción, IP Agency.- The head of the Social Security Institute, Jorge Brítez, announced that the new hospitalization and operating room areas of the 12 de Junio ​​Hospital will be enabled in about three weeks. This will improve care for policyholders in the area and decongest other health centers such as the Central Hospital and Ingavi Hospital.

Brítez stressed that the hospital is already equipped with the necessary technology and infrastructure, in addition to emphasizing that it will also have 30 beds for inpatients and the entire polyclinic that continues to work daily. He added that all that remains is the incorporation of human resources to launch the new operation.

For her part, Dr. Sandra Boggino, director of the hospital, expressed her enthusiasm for this progress, pointing out that they already have a fully equipped hospitalization room, and are waiting for the staff. In three weeks, the hospital will be fully operational, he noted.

The new hospitalization areas will be divided into two wings, one for adults with 15 beds and another for pediatric patients with 16 beds, which will allow the insured to receive close care, without the need to travel to the Central Hospital or Ingavi, except in complex cases. .

New pediatric emergency area

On the other hand, Hospital 12 de Junio ​​inaugurated its new pediatric emergency area, completely separating the care of adult patients and children.

Dr. Sandra Boggino, director of the hospital, highlighted that this measure improves patient comfort and allows for more agile and efficient care.

The new unit has a resuscitation room exclusively for pediatric patients, three offices dedicated solely to the care of children, and an observation area that initially has six beds, with the possibility of expanding to 15.

In addition, the digital RAC system was implemented, allowing doctors to know in real time the wait and severity of each patient, classified by color according to their health status.

The new emergency room also has an area for nebulizations for children with respiratory problems, and a resuscitation room equipped with the latest technology for serious cases.

With the appropriate technology and infrastructure, the 12 de Junio ​​Hospital seeks to continue providing quality care to its insured, with future plans to continue expanding its services for the well-being of the insured, the pension authorities explained.
