A promise of payment at the last moment gave oxygen to Ipross, that there will be no cuts in the pharmacies of Río Negro, at least next week.
Yesterday at noon, two hours before the start of a meeting that brought together 70 professionals from all over the province, authorities of the State social work promised to resume the path of payments with the providers.
The overdue debt with the College of Pharmacists of Río Negro currently reaches 662 million pesos and several professionals had warned that from Monday they would no longer recognize Ipross coverage for affiliates.
“The attention would be normal, if they comply. This is week by week. If they stop complying, pharmacies will lose financial capacity, because drugstores require payments in 15 or 30 days, the same as the State itself, which does not offer flexibility for tax obligations,” said the president of the entity, Roberto Zgaib. .
The leader appreciated the willingness to pay of the managers of the social work, but warned that the inflation scenario makes them anticipate that the complications will continue throughout the year, therefore “nothing is guaranteed” regarding continuation of coverage.
The Ipross Monitoring Commission, three years without working
For its part, the Frente de Todos bloc insisted on the Legislature with its request to urgently convene the Follow-up Commission of the provincial social work Ipross.
From the bench they remembered that this space It never worked in the three years that the current management has been in place.
The opposition sector also raised a request for reports from legislator Pablo Barreno “so that the president of Ipross, Alejandro Marenco, responds to the current critical situation, the debt, the monthly deficit and the shortcomings in the operation and coverage.”
Among other issues, that request asks from when does the update of the internal values of medicines operate and what is the projection of increases for the year 2023. Also on the criteria and reasonableness by which said increases are expected, what drugs will be reached by these increases and in what percentage according to class, plans and type of drug coverage and what population will be affected.
It also asks regarding the debts that Ipross maintains with its affiliates by way of refunds and the reasons for the delays in those payments.
From the FdT they said they were concerned regarding the debts that the social work maintains with hospitals, drug stores, pharmacies, orthopedics, special programs, transfers and accommodation.
It is inconceivable that the cost of the mismanagement of social work by the provincial government ends up being paid by state workers.
Pablo Barreno, legislator of the Frente de Todos.
