Bangalore: On the first day of the IPL mega auction, some of the ‘unsold’ players who were not acquired on the first day were in high demand on the second day. The Gujarat Titans have acquired South African batsman David Miller for Rs 3 crore in a bidding process. England pacer Chris Jordan has been named in the Chennai Super Kings squad for Rs 3.6 crore. Australian wicketkeeper Matthew Wade, who joined the Gujarat team for Rs 2.4 crore yesterday, was dropped by all the teams on the first day.

While Hyderabad acquired Malayalee player Vishnu Vinod for Rs 50 lakh, another Malayalee Karun Nair joined Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.4 crore. In the round of re-bidding for ‘unsold’ players, however, veteran Suresh Raina and Australian Steve Smith were not considered.

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was also ruled out of the second round.
