Batting first, Rajasthan lost Buttler (two off six balls) but Sanju teamed up with Jaiswal for the second wicket. The pair split following a 64-run stand for the second wicket. With Rajasthan at 75, Sanju was handed over to Deepak Hooda and Jason Holder gave Lucknow a crucial breakthrough. Sanju hit six fours off 24 balls and scored 32 runs.
Devdutt Padikkal, who came to the crease later, batted well with Jaiswal to give Rajasthan the lead once more. But with the score at 101, Jaishwal was caught in his own bowling and dismissed by Ayush Badoni to give Lucknow the upper hand. Jaiswal returned with 41 off 29 balls with six fours and a six. After Jaiswal’s return, Rajasthan’s score of 122 was restored by Ravi Bishnoi to give Lucknow the upper hand once more. With this, Rajasthan’s scoring dropped rapidly. Ryan Parag (19 off 6 balls) was caught by Bishno off Stones’ return and Neesham (14 off 12 balls) was run out to give Rajasthan the lead. In the final overs, Ashwin (10 off seven balls) and Bolt (17 off nine balls) put Rajasthan ahead.
Lucknow captain KL Rahul handed over eight wickets to Panther. Bishnoi took two wickets while Avesh Khan, Jason Holder and Badoni took one wicket each.
