IPL 2022 | Rajasthan batted in death overs; Bangalore set a target of 170 for victory

Royal Challengers Bangalore set a 170-run target for victory once morest Rajasthan Royals (RR vs RCB). After losing the toss and opting to bat, Rajasthan scored 169 for three in 20 overs. Rajasthan won the toss and elected to field. The Rajasthan innings was led by Englishman Jos Buttler, who scored a century once morest Mumbai. In the death overs, Butler smashed Shimron Hetmeyer of the West Indies to take Rajasthan’s total to 169. The duo combined for 62 runs in the last four overs.

Butler scored 70 off 47 balls. He hit six sixes in his innings. Hetmeyer also scored 42 off 31 balls. The duo put on 83 for the fourth wicket. Devdutt Padikkal also scored 37 off 29 balls. Captain Sanju Samson hit a six off Vanindu Hasaranga for a six but returned soon following. Sanju scored just eight runs off eight balls.

In bowling for Bangalore, Hasaranga, David Wiley and Herschelle Patel took one wicket each.
