IPL 2022 | ‘Boss’ Butler (100), ‘Hit’ Meyer (35); Mumbai set a target of 194 against Rajasthan

Rajasthan Royals lost the toss and elected to bat in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) once morest Mumbai Indians. Rajasthan scored 193 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. Jose Buttler (100 off 68 balls) and Shimron Hetmeyer (35 off 14 balls) were the top scorers for Rajasthan.

Butler has scored his first century of the 15th season of the IPL. Skipper Sanju Samson hit 30 off 21 balls with three sixes and a four. For Mumbai, Jaspreet Bumra and Timel Mills took three wickets each.

In the first three overs of the power play, Rajasthan were 17 for one. However, in the fourth over, Jose Buttler put Rajasthan in top gear with 26 runs, including three sixes and two fours. However, following Basil Thampi’s over, Murugan Ashwin and Tim Mills were caught.

Buttler then scored a century. Butler needed just 66 balls to reach the century. This is the player’s second IPL century. Hetmeyer was out before Butler’s celebration ended. Hetmeyer returned with 35 off just 14 balls, accompanied by three fours and six sixes.
