“iPhones 15 Pro” may have a new option in red color

Since the iPhone X, top-of-the-line models no longer have the color red. To date, the iPhone 14, for example, has the (PRODUCT)RED option, but the Pro models do not. According to a new rumor, however, this could change with the launch of the next iPhones this year.

According to a source of 9to5Macos “iPhones 15 Pro [Max]” will have as one of the color options a dark shade of red (next to color #410D0D). Every year, the Pro models come in a different color, like the deep purple of the latest ones. The choice for red would also mean a return of that color to the most advanced iPhones.

In addition, Apple would be testing two colors for the entry models: pink (a shade more vivid than that used in the iPhone 13) and blue, which, if chosen, would mark its third year — in different tones — in the line of Apple smartphones. In this case, however, the information is still not solid and things are likely to change until the official launch.

It is worth remembering, for example, that the iPhone X, launched in 2017, almost included the gold color, but it only ended up arriving a year later, with the XS. The exact reasons are not known, but they revolved around concentrating efforts on just two colors. The case shows how volatile iPhone color decisions are.

There are rumors that the Pro models of the next iPhones will have a titanium chassis, which should lead to important changes in the manufacturing process of the devices. Colors should also be impacted, as the tones achieved are not the same as other materials — such as aluminum and stainless steel.

As Amy Winehouse says: “we only said goodbye with words”… would you like this one? “back to red”? ????
