“iPhones 15/15 Plus” may have matte glass back and cyan color

Since the launch of the iPhones 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, in 2019, a certain design pattern followed until today has been established: while the top-of-the-line models have a matte rear glass, the entry-level ones have a back made of shiny glass. This logic, however, may change with the new models to be launched this year.

According to a rumor published on the Chinese social network Weibo, the frosted glass can be expanded to all devices in the next line. That is, the “iPhones 15/15 Plus” they can also be made with this finish, so that it will become another design element that Apple will take from the most expensive iPhones to the entry/intermediate models.

Another speculation disseminated by the same source is that the entry models of the new line of iPhones will have an option in the color cyan. The tone would be similar to the green color of the iPhones 12 and 12 mini, launched in 2020. This information joins another previously disclosed, which states that the “iPhones 15 Pro/15 Pro Max” will have a red option.

O leaker responsible for these rumors was the same one who correctly stated that the iPhones 14 and 14 Plus would gain the yellow color in early March, although he does not have a long history of success. Although this does not guarantee that the information is true, it shows that the person responsible for it has some “curriculum” in the area.

It is worth remembering that, even if the rumor has some basis in reality, there are still a few months left for the launch of the devices. Thus, it is quite possible that Apple’s plans change by then and this possibility ends up not being confirmed.
