The website iPhone phones of 2017 will be available upgrade to the latest version of the iOS operating systemwhich will arrive in open beta in July, the same month as the macOS Ventura beta, which can be installed on the 50-year-old company’s desktops and laptops.
Apple brought the iPhone X to market in 2017 as part of the tenth anniversary of the iPhone, a device with which the company introduced a new experience without a home button, FaceID facial recognition and an OLED panel. At the same time, Apple introduced the iPhone 8 family, more rooted in the traditional line of iPhones at the time.
L’iPhone X et l’iPhone 8 will be the oldest iPhone models that will be able to upgrade to iOS 16 when available public beta from Julybut it won’t be until the fall that the company will make the software’s new features widely available.
The update to iOS 16 will also be available for iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone Xs, XS Mac and Xr; the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max; the iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max; and the iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max, as listed by the company on the operating system page.
MACOS VENTURA
The new version of Apple’s computer system, MacOS 13 Ventura, will also be able to be installed on computers from 2017like the iMac, iMac Pro, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Pro that the company released that year.
Later models of the aforementioned computers are also supported, as well as 2018 Mac minis and MacBook Airs, 2019 Mac Pros, and Mac Studio computers, as listed on the OS page.
macOS Ventura will also be in open beta for Mac users starting in July, followed by a free update in the fall.
