Apple has just released the new version of its OS. Indeed, the iOS 17 public beta version is available for download.
As announced at the last WWDC, public testers can finally take advantage of the new features before the start of the school year. Since this Wednesday, July 12, 2023, you no longer need to be a developer to take advantage of the latest update. Alongside iOS 17, Apple is also making iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, tvOS 17 and macOS Sonoma versions available.
Be careful, there are risks! Beta versions can make your iPhone unstable. Bugs and performance issues can occur leading to frequent crashes and malfunctions. Third-party apps may be incompatible, creating other issues. Beta versions may also have unpatched security vulnerabilities.

How to take advantage of it?
To download the public beta, nothing might be simpler: open Settings, go to General, then Software update and finally Beta update. Choose “iOS 17 Public Beta” and accept the terms and conditions.
As a reminder, installing a beta version is not without risk. Protect your data and take the necessary precautions. For example, consider making a full backup of your iPhone. This is to make the most of new features without unpleasant surprises. You will be able to discover all the new features of iOS 17 in preview. But remember: this is still a work in progress!
