Since this Wednesday evening, the third beta of iOS 17 is offered to developers who have installed the new iPhone update.
More than a month after the publication of the very first beta of iOS 17 intended for developers and after a second update offered fifteen days later, Apple is back with a third beta. Rich in visual novelties, it takes another step towards what iOS 17 will definitely look like when it is finally released next fall.
Available since Wednesday evening, the third beta of iOS 17 focuses on Apple Music, the Home application, but also the Health application. Let’s look into it.
Apple Music pays more homage to a song’s musicians, composers, and other lyricists with a tab now dedicated to them. When music is playing, the menu “…” now has the tab “View credits”referring to the complete list of musicians.
The Photos app is changing slightly in the Recently Deleted media section with a change to the tabs. Now, if you press “…” at the bottom of the screen without having selected an image, you have the two options “Recover Everything” or “Delete all”. The principle is the same if you have selected one or more media.
In the Health application, there are also some changes, particularly in the menu relating to emotions and mental well-being. The colors have been changed, as have the buttons and the background.
As soon as you launch the Home application after the update you will get an information pop-up window with what’s new. Accessory activity history, information design change and new widgets on the home screen, the application is now richer.
Finally, the camera settings are also somewhat modified, with the arrival of the depth control. “Keeps Photo, Portrait, and Cinematic mode depth setting instead of resetting it automatically”says Apple in the menu.
All these new features are already available to those who have installed the iOS 17 developer beta. As for the public beta, it should land sometime next week, rumors suggest Monday, July 10.
