UAE Merchants Can Now Accept Contactless Payments Using Only an iPhone
UAE merchants gained a new tool to streamline payment processing on Tuesday with the launch of Tap to Pay on iPhone. Two leading payment solutions providers, Magnati and Network International, introduced this innovative feature, allowing businesses to accept contactless payments using only an iPhone.
Transforming Point-of-Sale with Tap to Pay on iPhone
This technology revolutionizes the point of sale for UAE merchants. With Tap to Pay on iPhone, businesses can process a variety of contactless payments, including credit, debit, and prepaid cards, as well as Apple Pay and other digital wallets, directly through an iPhone. Magnati’s SwipeX iOS app and Network International’s N-Genius One app facilitate this process, eliminating the need for additional payment terminals or devices.
The system operates seamlessly and securely. Merchants simply prompt customers to hold their contactless payment method near the iPhone. Transactions are completed using NFC technology, ensuring robust data security. Both customer and merchant data remain protected thanks to the phone’s built-in security features. Apple takes user privacy seriously and does not store card or transaction information on the device or its servers.

Effortless Setup for New Merchants
Setting up Tap to Pay on iPhone is remarkably straightforward. New merchants with iPhone XS or later models running the latest version of iOS can download the SwipeX or N-Genius One app from the Apple App Store. A brief digital onboarding process follows, after which merchants can enable Tap to Pay on iPhone and start accepting payments immediately.
