Allstate Protection Plans put Galaxy S22 models to the test of their physical structure and protection once morest accidental drops. While the The Galaxy S22 Ultra survived JerryRigEverything’s twisty bend test in which the OnePlus 10 Pro succumbedAllstate’s drop tests with Galaxy smartphones didn’t go well for them.
Although Samsung uses a Gorilla Glass Victus+ layer to protect the screens of its Galaxy S22 models, all including Galaxy S22 Ultra screen shattered on first impact from 6ft drop on a concrete sidewalk. Allstate pointed out that the curved screen design of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is more vulnerable to chips and cracks when dropped than other smartphones without a curved screen.
The company ran the same test on the iPhone SE 3 and it performed much better in Allstate’s drop test than Samsung’s $1,199 device. The new iPhone SE comes in a compact form and has a much smaller footprint than the massive 6.8-inch Galaxy S22 Ultra. Additionally, Apple claims that it uses the “the strongest glass in a smartphone” for the front and back of the device, which turned out to be true.
