Earlier, we told you about a Statcounter survey that showed a recent staggering increase in market share of iPhones in Brazil. Now, this growing trend in the number of iPhones circulating in the country has been confirmed by the very Tim Cook.

At the conference that presented Apple’s fiscal second quarter financial results, CEOChief executive officeror executive director.”>1 company revealed that iPhone sales hit records in a number of emerging markets — including quarterly records in the BrazilMalaysia and India.

This result is a testament, first and foremost, to our teams around the world who are involved every day in the work of bringing new innovations to life. It speaks to the incredible power of Apple products and services to enrich people’s lives in indispensable ways.

Cook also highlighted that these records happened even with the bad moment of the dollar on the world stage, stating that Apple is dedicating its efforts in “several of these markets”, seen by the company as a “great opportunity” – especially due to its low participation.

Although we cannot confuse market share with sales, an increase in the second has the potential to reflect an increase in the first, especially if the number of iPhones sold was higher than those that went out of circulation — which probably happened, since we are talking about a record.

Also mentioned at the conference was The boticario. Apple’s chief financial officer, Master Lukestated that the cosmetics company has started to invest in Apple platforms to increase productivity and employee satisfaction.
