iPhone bug adds extra character to numbers on Android devices

A new and curious bug is affecting users of iPhone who have contacts of people with android devices on your schedule. According to reports on Reddit, Apple’s cell phone is adding the “+” character at the beginning of these people’s phone numbers.

It may seem small, but this subtle change causes the smartphone to confuse the numbers with an international one. In this way, a contact with number “858-867-5309” would then be displayed as “+85 88675309” because of this device failure.

Since Thursday (18) the number of complaints has been quite high and Reddit has had several posts related to people with the same type of problem. In that sense, the failure caused several conversations between users with devices using Android to be “broken”.

For now, it is still unknown what the cause of this bug is, but it does not mean that there is no solution to work around the problem. For example, you can resolve the situation if the user chooses to reset network settings. Adding “+1” to the number can also make everything go back to normal.
