On October 9, according to reports, a memo provided by Apple to authorized service providers shows that from November 1 this year, Apple will mark the iPhone 5c as an “obsolete product” and terminate all related repairs and services.

Prior to this, Apple had listed the iPhone 5c as an “antique product” in October 2020, meaning the company and its service providers would only be able to provide certain repairs to the product following that, depending on the availability of parts.

The third-generation iPad mini (Wi-Fi and TD-LTE versions) is also included in the list of obsolete products along with the iPhone 5c.

The iPhone 5c is an iconic product that was released in September 2013 alongside the iPhone 5s. The iPhone 5c is the first iPhone to offer a range of bright colors, including blue, green, pink, yellow and white, in a case. The phone also marks the first time Apple has offered a low-end iPhone to consumers on a budget, with the 16GB model starting at just $99 in the U.S. with a two-year contract.
