Just under a year until the launch of iPhone 16Apple is already starting to deal with rumors related to its family of cell phones from the year 2025. The most recent indicates that the iPhone 17 Pro Max It should be equipped with a 48 MP periscopic telephoto camera.

The information comes from analyst Jeff Pu, responsible for covering Apple’s partner companies in the supply chain. The intention is that this sensor will have optimizations to be used with the company’s next virtual reality headset, Apple Vision Pro.

Despite there being signs of improvements for the wearable, the specialist did not go into detail about what these improvements would be. It is worth noting that the iPhone 15 Pro family should support spatial video recording with 3D depth for playback on Vision Pro, starting with iOS 17.2.

Now for the series iPhone 16 Pro, the photographic set is expected to feature a 48 MP ultrawide sensor. In other words, only the next family would match the three lenses on the back with the same resolution.

As the iPhone 17 Pro Max is only scheduled to be launched in September 2025, Apple still has almost two years to perfect – or modify – its plans for the smartphone until then.
