iPhone 15 Pro Max does well in Consumer Reports endurance test

In recent days, we have seen some drop tests of iPhones 15 Pro/15 Pro Max conducted by reviewers show that the titanium in the new models may not be as resistant as Apple made it seem in its September keynote. A new, much more “scientific” analysis made by Consumer Reportshowever, contradicts these first impressions.

More specifically, the site “dropped”, with the help of a series of equipment in a controlled environment, an iPhone 15 Pro Max in a container filled with stones that sought to simulate a concrete floor no less. 100 timeswith a pause following the first 50 falls to analyze the damage.

According to the information, although it obviously suffered some noticeable damage, Apple’s most expensive and recent device performed as well in this test as its direct predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max — dispelling suspicions of a deterioration in materials. The device, it is worth noting, hit the ground from a variety of angles.

O flagship it also underwent a pressure test, which aimed to check whether it might bend with any ease. According to the Consumer Reports, around 50 kilograms of pressure were applied right in the center of the iPhone and along its length, which was enough to bend it slightly. However, as soon as the load was relieved, the smartphone returned to its original format.

Surprisingly, all this pressure was unable to crack the model’s windows — either the front or the rear. The vehicle also conducted water and rain resistance tests, but has not released the results yet.

If you were worried regarding the resistance of the models, perhaps this is your green light to buy them. Either way, it’s always a good idea not to leave your iPhone under a press or drop it on concrete 100 times in a row. ????
