iPhone 15 Pro Max Boot Loop Issue: Apple Suspends iOS 17.3 Distribution

Foreign media outlets such as Phone Arena reported on the 4th (local time) that Apple temporarily suspended distribution of iOS 17.3 and iPad OS 17.3 just 3 hours following the second beta version was released.

The reason Apple stopped distributing the second beta versions of two operating systems (OS) is because of an ‘infinite boot’ error.

According to reports, following Apple released the beta version on this day, users of the iPhone 12 to iPhone 15 series experienced a ‘boot loop’ problem in which they continuously rebooted.

The cause of the problem is not known in detail. However, some claimed that the bug may be related to the ‘Back Tap’ setting, which allows users to set the desired function by tapping the back of the iPhone.

Some users are claiming that the backtap setting was causing their devices to crash, while those who disabled the backtap setting were able to install the update without issue.

Apple plans to redistribute the OS as soon as the bug is fixed, but the exact timing is unknown.
