The next iPhone 15 smartphones might achieve the fastest charging recorded in Apple devices. We are talking regarding that these mobiles might support charges of up to 35 W thanks to the transition to the USB-C charging port.

In other words, the company plans to replace the Lightning charging connector with a USB-C port on its devices. This would be specifically in smartphones, at least in the European Union; as confirmed, in October last year, the company led by Tim Cook.

What benefits would this change bring?

There are not a few expert analysts on the subject who have issued their criteria regarding the change of charging connector. One of them, Ming-Chi Kuo, expressed that with the use of this type of connector, iPhones might support higher charging speeds.

This is because it might improve the data transfer and charging speed of the iPhone. Meanwhile, other anonymous industry sources have told the press some important things.

For example, some models of the upcoming iPhone 15 are said to support charging speeds of up to 35W with the USB-C connector. In this way, the action would be consolidated as the fastest charge achieved in Apple smartphones.

By the way, the iPhone 14 Pro supports 27 W charges, and following this line, the standard iPhone 14 reaches 20 W. This, just to cite a few examples that include current models.

However, other press outlets emphasize that to reach 35W users may need to use the 35W Dual USB-C charger.

Said charger was launched by Apple last year, and with it, the iPhone would harness the power to reach maximum charging speed.

Although, it is valid to clarify that it is unknown if the 35 W charge would be available in all models of the new iPhone series. It is also not known exactly if this would be limited to Pro models.
