Apple has announced the marketing of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. These two new smartphones welcome several new features without undergoing a price increase.
Offered with a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus inherit a function available on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max: Dynamic Island, allowing access to new ways to interact through important alerts and Live Activities.
This feature can now be used with Maps. It is also possible to easily control music or obtain, thanks to integrations with third-party apps, real-time information on meal delivery, a current journey, sports results or even travel information.
The iPhone 15 range also includes the new generation of portraits, which makes it easier to capture them with a higher level of detail and improved performance in low light. The HDR brightness on these 2 models now reaches 1,600 nits, which considerably improves the rendering of HDR photos and videos. And in direct sunlight, outdoor brightness reaches 2,000 nits, twice as much as the previous generation.
In terms of its design, the glass back is tinted throughout and the aluminum case has new profiled edges with a Ceramic Shield front.
An improved camera
Both models have a 48-megapixel main sensor, compared to 12-megapixel for the iPhone 14. The photo system of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus has a 48-megapixel main camera. The main camera now takes very high resolution photos of 24 Mpx by default. It also benefits from three levels of optical quality zoom (0.5x, 1x and 2x).
Apple is also introducing the Apple A16 Bionic chip on the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, which appeared on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.
A new USB-C connector
Both models feature a USB-C connector, the universal standard for charging and content transfer, allowing the same cable to be used to charge iPhone, Mac, iPad and the new AirPods Pro (2nd generation). It is possible to charge AirPods or an Apple Watch directly from these iPhones using the USB-C connector. Both models are compatible with MagSafe wireless charging and future Qi2 chargers. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus include an eSIM.

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are available in pink, yellow, green, blue and black with 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, starting at €969 and €1,119 for iPhone 15 Plus .
