iPhone 14 vs iPhone 14 Pro: the expected differences

The iPhone 14 Pro might be radically different from the iPhone 14.

If the latest rumors are to be believed, Apple may be replicating its iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro blueprint. Indeed, the best features were reserved for the Pro model, the basic model being satisfied with a few improvements.

By the time, rumors and speculation in everything genreit seems interesting to take stock of the already existing rumors.

No notch for the Pro model

It’s no longer a surprise to anyone but the iPhone 14 Pro is tipped to ditch the notch, but don’t expect a similar look to the top Android phones. Instead, Apple would replace the notch with two cutouts near the top of the screen: a cutout pill shaped for Face ID and a smaller punch hole for the front camera.

The A16 Bionic chip for the Pro model

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 Pro series might be equipped exclusively with Apple’s new A16 Bionic chip, which would use a new 4nm process.

The regular iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max would be powered by the current A15 Bionic chip, but might come with more RAM, up from 4 GB to 6 GB. The iPhone 14 Pro would use the same amount of RAM but a memory More advanced LPDDR5 that is “up to 1.5x faster and up to 30% more power efficient.”

Currently, this decision would be explained by the shortage of component. The Cupertino company preferring to put a new chip only in these new models of the Pro range.

The 48MPx sensor for the Pro model

This is one of the arrivals also expected for the next iPhone, namely a new 48 MP photo sensor. Again, the upgrade should be reserved for the Pro models of the new range. The iPhone 13 Pro’s image quality is already excellent, but giving users more megapixels to play with would allow for greater photo cropping flexibility, not to mention the potential benefits for low-light and HDR performance. In terms of design, the iPhone 14 Pro will once more inherit a very prominent photo block.

The standard model should keep the photo sensor currently used for several years, namely the 12MPx.

Other differences

The two models should also differ from each other in terms of their screen – the Pro model would display a 120Hz ProMotion screen – and in certain capacities – the Pro model should once once more carry a telephoto lens.

Both devices should be presented during the month of September.
