IPCA in October rises 0.24% compared to an increase of 0.26% in September, reveals IBGE

The accumulated result in 12 months was 4.82% until October, compared to a rate of 5.19% until September

Inflation measured by the Broad National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) closed October with an increase of 0.24%, compared to an increase of 0.26% in September, reported this Friday, 10th, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

The accumulated inflation rate for the year remained at 3.75% until October.

The accumulated result in 12 months was 4.82% until October, compared to a rate of 5.19% until September.

Financial market projections

Inflation measured by the IPCA in October was below the median forecast of financial market analysts heard by Projeções Broadcast, an increase of 0.29%. The range of estimates was 0.16% and 0.38%.

The result accumulated in 12 months was also slightly below the median of projections, of 4.87%, with a range of estimates ranging from 4.75% to 4.96%.
