As we mentioned earlier, the Apple today released the second beta versions of iOS 18.2do iPadOS 18.2 and the macOS Sequoia 15.2 as well as the first of watchOS 11.2do tvOS 18.2 and the visionOS 2.2.
As always happens in the first minor updates of a new system, they have many new features — both things related to Apple Intelligence as adjacent resources of the systems themselves.
In this article, we’ve compiled some of the features, additions, and changes already discovered by users and testers in the new betas!
AirTag location sharing via the Search app (Find My)
You know when you lose an item (like a suitcase) but you’re probably too far away to look for it? Well, in iOS 18.2 there will be a new option which will allow share an AirTag’s location with third parties.
Huge update to Find My in iOS 18.2 beta 2

This feature will allow a trusted person or airline to receive a link (URL) that allows them to view the AirTag’s location for a limited time.
Now we hope that this feature is not limited to AirTags, allowing the sharing of lost items tracked by third-party accessories compatible with the Search network and even with items such as AirPods, among others.
ChatGPT 4o limited
In the new systems, a new configuration will inform users if they have exceeded the daily usage limit for advanced versions of the ChatGPT — which will finally be integrated with Siri in this version.

This means that, as with the traditional app chatbotusers will be able to access ChatGPT 4o in a pre-defined daily quota; if they exceed it, the system will return to using the basic version of the chatbot temporarily.

A new button, in turn, will allow upgrade to ChatGPT Plus directly from the Settings app — action that will obviously increase the daily use limit of the advanced functions of the chatbot.

Configured to display the time in the user’s current location, the new icon will show a series of information when clicked, such as the maximum and minimum temperatures, and those expected for the next few hours.
Settings app icons (Settings)
After adding support for dark mode to Home screen icons, Apple appears to follow the same line for option icons in the Settings app on iOS/iPadOS 18.2.
As seen in the screenshot below, posted by user Aaron[[@aaronp613]in X, in the new version the icons have the color that was previously in the background — which will be filled with black when in dark mode.
