With iOS 17, Apple added sensitive content detection to the system. This function allows you to automatically blur certain content (photos of eggplants or peaches, ???? & ????, for example) locally, to avoid surprises. And with iOS 17.2, the second public beta of which has just been released, Apple has expanded detection to two functions.

Protection in action.

The 10 big new features of iOS 17: Standby mode, contact displays, NameDrop…

Detection is activated in Settings > Privacy and Security > Warning. sensitive content. It works by default with AirDrop, Contacts, Messages, and Video Messages. The two new options are very specific: they depend on MacRumors stickers (stickers) in messages and the “Show contacts” function. For the first, it is indeed possible to create stickers with applications or even from Photos. For the second, this is the image that you can create for your contacts in iOS 17.

In both cases, the idea is obviously to prevent one of your contacts from sending you inappropriate images by taking into account all possible channels.
