Apple released the first beta version of iOS 17.2 shortly following making the final version of iOS 17.1 available to everyone. In addition to the usual corrections and bug fixes, this update also brings various improvements and innovations.
One of the biggest innovations is Apple’s new Journal app, which was presented at the developer conference in June. With this app, iPhone users can capture special moments of their lives in images and sound, supported by machine learning suggestions.
Additional updates include contact key verification for iMessage to verify people. According to “it Magazine”, this can be used to exchange messages. There is also a new translation function for the action button as well as shared editing options for playlists in Apple Music.
The current beta version is only available to registered developers. A public beta is usually released one to two weeks later.
