Developers and beta testers can download the update now.
Barely iOS 16.5 is available that the next version comes to the fore. Apple rolled out iOS 16.6 beta 1 to beta testers earlier this week.
A little update while waiting for WWDC
Do not expect many new features since iOS 17 is very close. The presentation of the next major update is indeed scheduled for WWDC 2023, which will be held on June 5.
New iOS features can be fun, but we recommend once morest installing a beta on a primary device, in case the software causes problems. Among the expected additions is ignition key verification for iMessage which will allow users to ensure that the person they are talking to is the correct one.
This feature doesn’t seem to work yet, but if you go to phone settings, you should see an option. For now, tapping the tab only opens Apple ID settings.
Apple has not announced a release date for iOS 16.6.
