The two fires that broke out in Drymades Pogoni and in Playa Konitsa earlier are ongoing. With ground and aerial means, the firemen are fighting the flames to extinguish them.
Fortunately the settlement in Drymades Pogoniou, the small akritic village is not threatened. The fire burns high on the mountain. A helicopter and three planes are dropping water, while Civil Protection machines and water tankers are operating.
Fortunately, the settlement of Zerma on Konitsa Beach is not threatened. A helicopter is making drops in the area and they are attempting ground means.
